Ask the Expert
This is an independent and self chosen research project that will culminate in a class presentation. In a nutshell students get to select their own topic of study, conduct research and become the expert. Please help your child select a broad enough topic to study. Some possibilities: THINGS: trains, planes, dinosaurs, automobiles; TOPICS: wars, ancient Rome, countries, music, a specific animal Slavery, diseases (or specific disease), medicine and cures, inventions, cryptids, the great Chicago fire, etc; PEOPLE: presidents, Walt Disney, heroes, etc. This is an expository research project so studying the Star Wars movies or your favorite Uncle Larry doesn’t really fit….but students might interview their Uncle Larry if he is an inventor and the interview is part of a larger project. |
