Sunrise over Fallujah by Walter Dean Myers

This is definitely my favorite book. It has everything you can ask for, excitement, suspense, sadness, everything! This book is about a young man joining the army and the story follows him and his platoon. He writes letters to his uncle about Iraq. They go into combat a lot of the time and deal with conflicts over every soldier overseas.

Sunrise over Fallujah by Walter Dean Myers

This is a good book, it’s about a person who’s in the army and is sent over to the war. He goes through a lot of deaths and can’t wait to leave. He learns the meaning of family and is very close to his friends. I think you should read this book.

Sunrise over Fallujah by Walter Dean Myers

For the characters of this book, Operation Iraqi Freedom means war. One of the first fiction books for young adults written about the war in Iraq, this one is a winner. Following the lives of four young people as they endure the reality of war. A good current events book and realistic look at war.
