NEW! Work Study position open at 4J Finance Office —
Work, get paid, and get class credit!
The 4J Finance Department needs a junior or senior high school work study student to help with general office support. There may be hours available in the summer as well. This is a valuable position for learning office and business skills such as: Processing and recording daily deposits; providing phone and in-person support to visitors and staff; organizing and maintaining filing systems; using Excel for recording business information; preparing business communications (standard letters, emails, or other); and working in a professional environment with a variety of teams.  The position pays minimum wage. Student must have transportation and be able to work 2-4 hours per day, flexible to school schedule and vacations. Bring your resume to Mary Beth in the School-to-Career office.
Work Study position open at Twin Oaks Elementary — Work, get paid, and get class credit!
Student must be at least 16 and a junior or senior with good attendance, on track for graduation, and have reliable transportation. Turn in your resume to Mary Beth in the School-to-Career office in the STEM building by November 30th.
Pay: minimum wage.
Hours: during school hours, approximately 2 hrs/day.
 Duties: 70% Photocopying, laminating, cutting, creating bulletin boards, and reader boards. Track workroom supplies; keep room clean and organized.
Skills: ability to follow written directions accurately; phone answering skills; ability to communicate with young children, parents, school staff, and administration.
Additional Computer Skills helpful: Word, Excel, Google Docs – formatting, creating fliers, posters, making forms, etc.
 
Churchill Estates, the retirement community across the street from the high school, has positions open for high school students.
