Eugene, Oregon History: Eugene Skinner Adulthood

Eugene Franklin Skinner did not grow up in one place. He moved between living with his father and different family members. He received a good education, especially in the field of law. While still young, Eugene Skinner returned for a short period of time to his hometown of Plattsburg, New York. He also visited Texas. Eventually he moved west to Hennepin, Illinois in Putnam County. The map shows a route similar to the one Eugene Skinner may have traveled from Plattsburg to Hennepin. Click to enlarge it.
