Good

Hi Everyone,

Since last week was a short one, not too much information was generated that I need to share, so here you go.

Six items of note this week:

• Monday, December 1st PD at 8:00 – I’ve already sent out the agenda, but as a reminder, on Monday all staff will meet in the library at 8:00. I’ll have some breakfast treats and drinks on hand. Licensed staff should let me know if you have anything you’d like to share for the “Staff Sharing” portion of the agenda. You can share resources, strategies, ideas, or anything else others may find useful. You can share for just a minute or two much more if you need it. Also let me know if anyone has a morning meeting activity they’d like to do to kick the meeting off.

• Native American Storyteller Assembly, Dec. 3 – This Wednesday is the Native American Storyteller Assembly. The storyteller has requested a separate primary and intermediate assemblies, so the K-2 assembly will be 8:30-9:00 and the 3-5 assembly will be 9:20-10:05. See the attached map and directions for details.

• Bi-Lingual Office Assistant Interviews – We have four candidates for this position. I’ll be setting up interviews for the week of Dec. 8th. Besides the interview, I’ll also have candidates use a computer to translate a newsletter article to test their translation and tech skills. Let me know by Tuesday if you are interested in volunteering to be part of the interview committee and I’ll work out a date and time for interviews.

• Fundraiser Opportunity at Holiday Bazaar – If anyone is feeling entrepreneurial, the PTO offered any staff member who wants to run a 50/50 raffle at the Holiday Bazaar all of the proceeds from the raffle. 50% of the whatever goes into the raffle will go to the winner of the raffle and 50% will go towards the staff members project. PTO said they have all the supplies for the raffle. Let me know if anyone is interested. First come, first serve!

• Furlough Days? – The School Board has not made a decision about the two furlough days, but the word on the street is that downtown expects there two be hazardous weather days between now and Spring Break. Those snow days will become the furlough days, but if we don’t have any hazardous weather days this year, one of the furlough dates is likely going to be the March 13th PD/Planning Day. Who know, as of writing this there’s a chance of snow and ice being predicted for Sunday night and Monday morning.
