Great Idea Writing
September 23, 2007
This week we started learning about the “Idea” trait. We learned how to brainstorm using webbing for ideas and how to focus our main topic. Students were required to write one paragraph about something that they knew. The results were fantastic.
The two paragraphs that I chose had a great beginning (one of them even thought of a title), interesting facts, and a good solid ending. Also, one of them even remembered to indent. That was impressive.

The bus is a jungle if kids don’t follow the rules. One rule is always get to always get to the bus stop 5-10 minutes before. Also line up 5 feet away in a single file line. There is a danger zone 10 feet around the bus where the driver can’t see you. When you’re inside the bus be sure you are talking in a normal voice. Also be sure you’re having…FUN!

Otis the Dog
When we got Otis we got him at a farm. My mom wanted him because he had a white stripe. Otis likes to chase squirrels. Otis likes to sleep with me. Well on the bottom bunk. Otis is VERY funny and playful! He is cool because he is a farm dog. My dog is a German Sheperd. My dog is…OTIS!
