Pétanque: It’s hip, it’s cool and it’s French!

Pétanque is a fun French sport that is a great alternative to the traditional activities at the HS level. This sport is a LIFE sport, one that students can play their whole lives. There is a fall and spring season, and we currently play against other local teams form Churchill, South Eugene, North Eugene and Marist. The fall season is played on the infield of the softball field and the spring season is played on Meadowlark / Buena Vista’s T-ball infield which replicates French Pétanque courts in material. We are hoping to have our own facilities in the near future. All students are welcome to join. The cost is minimal, and there are always snacks after every game!
