The Least Expected
November 2018

You don’t know until it’s too late.
They’re the ones you ‘d least expect.
Always wearing their black masks well.
Going through life everyday,
smiling and laughing at your jokes.
Pretending everything’s okay
Hiding the deep scars on their arms,
From lonely nights of pain and frustration.
They want to appear strong,
And hide the true feelings.
But at the same time,
wonder why nobody can see how broken they are.
Can nobody see how fake that smile is?
Or the truth of whats really going on?
Until one dark night,
They try to end it all.
Don’t think they can do it anymore.
Think their life isn’t worth living.
… And you don’t know until it’s too late,
Because they’re the ones you’d least expect.
