Spelling Lists and Reading Logs

Check for the weekly spelling list in your child’s Monday folder. Spelling practice is optional. Tests are given at the end of the week.

Nightly reading is the only homework proven to benefit academic growth for primary children. We strongly encourage Reading at home for 20 minutes every night. Children can read to themselves, or can listen to you read to them. Have your child return their “Book Club” reading log when it is full for a reward and for a new log.

The only other homework that goes home is unfinished classwork from the previous week.
